CLAYTON SOCKET SLIDE Inspired by the Sears Craftsman socket tool Many bottleneck players, including the late, great Lowell George of Little Feat, discovered that a Sears Craftsman socket tool made a pretty good guitar slide.
The tool was the right length, and the star-shaped internal wall provided a secure grip on the finger. However the tools are very heavy and the weight is not distributed evenly. Inspired by the socket tool Clayton have produced the Socket Slide, featuring a 12-point star internal wall, with consistent wall thickness to provide even weight distribution along the length of the slide.
The Clayton Socket Slide is made in the USA from the same forged tool alloy as socket sets, with a polished chrome finish . Available in 3 diameters. This listing is for a Large Socket Slide, with an internal diameter of 20.5mm Length 70mm. Weight approx 70g.
