This guitar is from a line of MG models designed as part of the signature series from Hide of X Japan. The exact model can't quite be determined because of a few unique features of the guitar. Originally the MG-80X was designed to have one DF-1 and one SH-1 pickup, the SH-1 being the DiMarzio style neck pickup, this guitar has two. The guitar also has a stoptail which is uncommon in these models but did occur. The pot and switch configuration is also different as the MG-80X did not feature a tone knob but has a killswitch in its place. The guitar does however feature Hides cloud inlay design on the rosewood fretboard. The guitar also features Gotoh MH-23 Tuners and an ergonomically contoured bolt-on joint.

This guitar is in fantastic condition, it does have a few minor scratches here and there, the patina on some of the hardware on the bridge has started peeling around the post. The frets show some signs of wear but are in overall great shape and have plenty of life left. The action at the 12th fret is 1.5mm currently.
