Description
The Band of Gypsys™ Fuzz Face® Mini Distortion captures the elusive and aggressive fuzz tone that Jimi Hendrix used during his famous live performances at Woodstock, Berkeley, and Fillmore East in 1969 and 1970. The pedal is based on a mysterious red Fuzz Face Distortion with white knobs that Hendrix used during those iconic shows, and its unique tone has been sought after by Hendrix enthusiasts for years.
To recreate this distinctive fuzz sound, the engineers at Dunlop analyzed various customized circuit designs that Jimi used throughout his career and identified a version of the Octavio® circuit without the octave up signal. After making some tweaks, they successfully replicated the elusive fuzz tone in the Band of Gypsys Fuzz Face Mini Distortion.
The Fuzz Face Mini Distortion features a pedalboard-friendly design, making it easy to incorporate into your setup. It comes with modern appointments such as an AC power jack and an on/off status LED for convenience. Additionally, it can be powered using a 9-volt battery or compatible power adapters like the Dunlop ECB003 9-volt adapter, DC Brick™, Iso-Brick™, and Mini Iso-Brick™ power supplies.
With the Band of Gypsys Fuzz Face Mini Distortion, you can now experience the same aggressive and biting fuzz tone that Jimi Hendrix used to captivate audiences during some of his most legendary performances. This pedal is a tribute to Hendrix's iconic sound and an excellent addition to any guitarist's effects collection, especially for those seeking to recreate Hendrix's distinct tone from the Band of Gypsys era.
