The MC824 is a Musician series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1980. It was produced in Japan.

The MC824 features neck-through-body construction. It has body wings made up of an ash core sandwiched between two layers of mahogany on a maple and walnut neck with tune response, a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and a darkened ash headstock. Components include an Accu-Cast B chrome plated fixed bridge with brass, cylindrical saddles and 19mm string spacing, a pair of Super 4 single-coil “soapbar” pickup's with 2 volume knobs, tone knob, 3-way switch and blend control, a plastic nut, Velve Tune Bass tuning machines and chrome hardware.

For 1982 the pikcup configuration was changed to "Super (J/P)-5" and the controls to: Volume, Tone and pickup balancer. For 1983 the pikcup configuration was changed to a singel "Super J6" an thecontrols to: Volume, Tone and Tri-Sound. For 1985 the pikcup configuration was changed to a pair of "J6" and the controls to: Volume, Tone and Duo Sound push on/ off switch. For 1991 a model with similar name with other electronics was made only for the Japanese market.

The MC824 was discontinued after 1986.
